YWCA of Greater Cincinnati works to empower women, improve race relations, further racial justice, and to end violence against women. The Crisis Intervention program provides domestic violence and sexual crisis line assistance, emergency shelter, emergency food assistance, and transitional housing. Additionally, the program provides court advocacy for battered women and children and batterer’s invention programming for adult males and at-risk adolescents. The Training and Education program provides adult and family literacy programs, employment readiness training, and on-site licensed child care services. The Health Wellness program provides breast and cervical health prevention education and screenings, teen pregnancy prevention, and educational programs for at-risk inner city youth, and fitness center.
