Programs

              

United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) educates, advocates and provides support services to ensure a life without limits for people with a spectrum of disabilities. Programs focus on teens and adults facilitating the transition from high school to independence and inclusive adulthood. UCP's Services and Supports for INCLUSION, EDUCATION AND ENRICHMENT include: The Academy of Technology Advancement, Art a la Carte!, Summer Technology Camp, Community Inclusion, Health & Wellness, Advocacy and Education, Individual & Family Support, Connections Cafe', Assistive Technology Services, and Information and Referral. The Academy of Technology Advancement offers tech-knowledge in computer hardware, software, social media, with instruction in adaptive computer skills, and use of assistive technology. The Academy links students to a global certification program that validates skills and competency in computer and internet literacy and is a resume-building credential recognized world-wide. Art a la Carte! gives UCP artists the opportunity to develop their talents while learning about a variety of art forms and artists. The goal is to foster creativity and to integrate visionary artists into the community while building awareness of individuals with disabilities through the arts. For more than 60 years, UCP has worked to ensure the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in every facet of society. Together, with parents and caregivers, UCP continues to push for the social, legal and technological changes that increase accessibility and independence, allowing people with disabilities to dream their own dreams.
