Resident Home Corporation does not meet the following 2 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 9: Fund Raising Expense Ratio - Spending should be no more than 35% of related contributions on fund raising. Related contributions include donations, legacies, and other gifts received as a result of fund raising efforts.

According to the charity's audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2008, the charity's fundraising costs were 41% ($125,000) of related contributions which totaled $305,239.

 

Standard 14: Budget - Have a board-approved annual budget for its current fiscal year, outlining projected expenses for major program activities, fund raising, and administration.

The budget provided by the charity does not clearly identify the projected amounts to be spent on programs, administration, and fundraising activities.

Programs

              

Community Residential Services offers a variety of services including direct care and housing opportunities for adults who choose to live independently and short and long-term housing with host families for children and adults with developmental disabilities. In addition, the program provides emergency and planned respite for caregivers of children or adults with developmental disabilities.

Support services of the charity include behavioral supports, vocational training, personal financial oversight, recreation activities, transportation for physician visits, and advocacy for community supports. In addition the charity helps secure government benefits such as Medicare, scheduling and providing and participation in developing and implementing annual personal plans.

Child, Youth and Family Services includes CITE (Community Integrated Training and Education) Services Program, which provides children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually through active collaboration with the child’s family and education providers.  Partnership for Children Program provides support to children and youth ages six through sixteen with co-occurring developmental disabilities and behavioral health issues and their families.  Partnership for Children offers assessment and clinical respite along with training and consultation in a collaborative environment.

Housing Resource Group manages and maintains safe and affordable properties for people with developmental disabilities in Hamilton County and Butler County.
