Programs

              

The Family Homeless Shelter Program provides shelter, meals, and supportive services to homeless families in Cincinnati. The Shelter Program admits men and adult children over the age of 12. Shelter and meals are provided at the facilities of churches and synagogues. The Day Center provides case management, capacity-building classes (life skills, budgeting, and parenting), and a staffed computer resource room to work on resumes, cover letters, housing, and job searches. In addition, showers, laundry facilities, personal storage, and kitchen facilities are available at the center. Through collaboration with UC College of Medicine, the charity provides mental health assessments for all children and neural developmental assessments for children three years of age and under. Through the Transportation Program, guests at the Day Center receive free transportation to case management-related appointments and services as well as medical services. The Going Home Staying Home Program provides aftercare services for those leaving the Shelter Program. The clients are provided a case manger, which provides resources and assistance and also connects them with volunteers that serve as family mentors.
