Programs

              

Hope House Rescue Mission provides safe and temporary emergency shelter, food, case management, and essential services to approximately 50 men on a daily basis. In addition, a strategic plan of action is provided to promote long-term sustainable life transformation. Hope House Rescue Mission opened the Center of Hope for Women and Children in November of 2010, which is a separate facility from the men’s facility. This program provides safe and temporary emergency shelter, food, clothing, case management, and essential services to approximately 50 women and children on a daily basis. The Lunch Program is a program that provides lunch to the public as well as to the residents of both Hope House Center for Men and Center of Hope for Women and Children. The SRO Housing Project (Single Room Occupancy) is an 11-unit HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Developement) funded transitional housing program designed to give homeless men an opportunity for residential stability, increased skill level, and/or income, and greater self-determination. According to the charity, in 2010 Hope House served 452 formerly homeless residents providing 18,964 nights of shelter, 10,510 breakfasts, 13,801 lunches and 16,697 dinners. 61% of the residents served were single individuals, 13% were female single parents and 25% were children.
