Programs

              

The Hearing Speech and Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati (HSDC) provides a barrier free, inclusive, and nurturing environment for anyone seeking to overcome obstacles regarding speech, language, literacy, hearing, or deafness. The charity offers the following programs: Hearing/Audiology - The program offers a wide range of products and services for children and adults. Licensed and board certified audiologists utilize state-of-the-art instrumentations to identify and treat hearing loss. Hearing aids of all types are dispensed as are assistive listening devices such as amplified phones and visual door bells. Clinicians provide specialty services and outreach through lectures, screenings, demonstrations, etc. Speech Pathology - The department provides screening, assessment, and intervention to individuals of all ages. Speech-language pathologists work with people who have communication disorders that may impair speech, language, reading or writing. Services are provided at center facilities, at area schools, at Pediatric Otologic Diagnostic Clinics (of the Ohio Department of Health), and at other outreach sites. HSDC provides a variety of summer programs at the Center. Community Services for the Deaf (CSD) - The department is one of ten designated community centers for the deaf and hard of hearing in the state of Ohio. CSD is a comprehensive program serving people who are deaf and hard of hearing. CSD is open seven days a week.
