Programs

              

Caholic Charities Diocese of Covington's Adoption Services program provides assistance to potential adoptive couples preparing for family life to children whose birth parents are unable to meet the child’s needs. The Safe Passage program provides mortgage adjustment, credit repair counseling, home purchase preparation, landlord/tenant mediation, rental placement assistance, rental stabilization, case management, home repair, and maintenance skills. The program also provides sixteen units of housing for formerly homeless and disabled families. The Individual, Marriage, and Family Counseling program addresses the emotional and relationship issues which interfere with personal and social functioning through assessment, psychotherapy, and aftercare planning in agency and school settings. The Community Capacity Building program provides technical assistance that enables the Latonia Community Partners and the Latonia Business Association to address community issues. Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington's Jail Ministry program supports people who are incarcerated and their families and provides a wide variety of services, including mentors, to persons newly released from prison. The New Leaf Center for Parenting Services assists low income distressed families in managing conflict, mediating disagreements, building relationships, and increasing self-esteem. The Parish Kitchen, provides hot and nutritious lunchtime meals to hungry people. The Pregnancy Counseling program services individuals and couples to assure the birth of a healthy child at the time of an unplanned pregnancy. Substance Abuse Treatment programs provide treatment and education in the agency or in school settings. The agency also offers substance abuse screenings for the courts and Driving Under the Influence (DUI) treatment groups. The Youth Development Services program instills in young people a sense of self-worth, social values, leadership skills, positive social values, healthy relationships, and commitment to community change activities. Finally, the Intake and Referral Services program offers comprehensive information regarding resources at Catholic Charities Diocese of Covington and in the community.
