Programs

              

Caracole House provides affordable, transitional housing for single adults living with HIV/AIDS. The House is a four-unit apartment building that houses up to 11 individuals with each resident residing in his/her own bedroom within a three-bedroom suite. Case management and 24-hour support is provided. The Caracole Recovery Community provides transitional housing and a supportive, structured environment for homeless, low-income, chemically dependent single adults living with HIV/AIDS. Case management and 24-hour support is provided. Shelter Plus Care is a rent subsidy program offering a permanent housing solution for homeless individuals and families with an adult member living with HIV/AIDS. The Permanent Supportive Housing Program is a rent subsidy program. This program serves those who are categorized as “unstably housed” and helps them secure affordable, permanent housing. Similar to Shelter Plus Care, Caracole also provides case management and supportive services to individuals residing in the program. Caracole provides short-term, needs-based intervention to prevent homelessness and promote housing stability for individuals living with HIV/AIDS in region. Intensive case management services are provided to all Caracole clients in order to help limit barriers to accessing care, stabilize, and improve clients’ health and well-being while empowering clients to become independent and self-sufficient.
