Programs

              

The Tote Bag Program provides families exiting homeless and battered women’s shelters, and those utilizing local food pantries, with bags filled with homemade cookie mix, baking supplies, cookbook, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and a gift card to Kroger. Local volunteers, as young as age 4, help assemble the jars of cookie mix. According to the charity, since 2008, over 540 families have been served and the current projection is to serve 300 families in 2011-2012. The charity has currently worked with families from ten agencies in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler, and Warren Counties. The Bake Me Home Family Portrait Program provides disadvantaged families with a free 5x7 portrait in a picture fame. The staff of volunteer photographers (both amateur and professional) set up photography equipment and printer on-site in shelters and at community events and to provide portraits that are printed on the spot. According to the charity, portraits have been given to 135 families since the program began. The Bake Me BACK Home Program utilizes volunteers to bake cookies for troops serving overseas. According to the charity, over 2,100 cookies have been shipped to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
