Evaluation Conclusions

              

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy does not meet the following 2 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 17: Web Site Disclosures - Include on any charity websites that solicit contributions, the same information that is recommended for annual reports, as well as the mailing address of the charity and electronic access to its most recent IRS Form 990.

The charity has a website that requests contributions, but the website does not include financial information for the past fiscal year that includes expenses by program, fundraising, and administrative.  Additionally, the website does not include a link to the charity's most recent IRS Form 990, the annual financial form filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

 

Standard 18: Privacy for Written Appeals & Internet Privacy - Address privacy concerns of donors by (a) providing in written appeals, at least annually, a means (e.g., such as a check off box) for both new and continuing donors to inform the charity if they do not want their name and address shared outside the organization, (b) providing a clear, prominent and easily accessible privacy policy on any of its websites that tells visitors (i) what information, if any, is being collected about them by the charity and how this information will be used, (ii) how to contact the charity to review personal information collected and request corrections, (iii) how to inform the charity (e.g., a check off box) that the visitor does not wish his/her personal information to be shared outside the organization, and (iv) what security measures the charity has in place to protect personal information.

Programs

              

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA) is located on two campuses. The preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school comprise the North Campus and they are built on 23 acres in suburban northeast Cincinnati. The three buildings have a combined student body of over 1,240 according and represents 40 area school districts according to the charity. Facilities on the North Campus feature state of the art science and digital media labs, a 500-seat theater, acres of playing fields, tennis courts, and lighted football and soccer stadium with a 9-lane running track. The Otto Armleder Memorial Education Center is located in downtown Cincinnati in the Crosely Square building. This facility is equipped with hands on science and technology labs to approximately 165 students with grades preschool to eighth grade. CHCA provides spiritual development for its students through weekly chapels, Christian studies curriculum, and Biblical integration. The high school offers 15 Advanced Placement courses with 99% of the graduates attending a four-year college. The school also offers high school athletics, intramural programs, club teams, and fine arts with band, strings, vocal, drama, and dance.
