Stated Purpose: Christian Credit Outreach Inc., (CCO) is a Non-Denominational Christian Ministry, founded by a Christian businessman reaching out to the community to help people free themselves from the financial restraints of debt. CCO will provide debt management assistance to all consumers as well as promote credit education through budgeting tools, educational workshops and credit counseling services. We have a staff of trained and Certified Credit Counselors that will create a personal debt management plan for any consumer. CCO rests its principals and morals on being Honest, Positive, Spiritual and Professional to all clients and creditors. We are committed to helping one person at a time to see the light of being debt free.

Christian Credit Outreach, Inc. does not meet the following 2 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 13: Accuracy of Expenses in Financial Statements - Accurately report the charity's expenses, including any joint cost allocations, in its financial statements. For example, audited or unaudited statements which inaccurately claim zero fund raising expenses or otherwise understate the amount a charity spends on fund raising, and/or overstate the amount it spends on programs will not meet this standard.

Despite evidence of fundraising activities for the year ended December 31, 2010, the charity reported zero ($0) fundraising expenses in its audited financial statements.

 

Standard 16: Annual Report - Have an annual report available to all, on request, that includes: (a) the organization's mission statement, (b) a summary of the past year's program service accomplishments, (c) a roster of the officers and members of the board of directors, (d) financial information that includes (i) total income in the past fiscal year, (ii) expenses in the same program, fund raising and administrative categories as in the financial statements, and (iii) ending net assets.

Despite written requests, BBB was not provided with the charity's most recent annual report.

 

In addition, BBB requested but did not receive complete information on the charity's governance and oversight and finances and is unable to verify the charity's compliance with the following 3 Standards for Charity Accountability: 1, 3, and 9.

Programs

              

Christian Credit Outreach provides budgeting and counseling services for clients that seek assistance with their finances and debt issues. Every caller initially is asked to do a budget analysis so the charity can gather the necessary information. In addition, the counselors are trained on how to read a credit report and how to fix inaccuracies that may appear on the report. Christian Credit Outreach provides financial literacy to clients and visitors to the website.
