Programs

              

The Emanuel Learning Center for Children is for children ages 18 months (toddlers) through preschoolers. The Center prepares children for kindergarten socially, emotionally, and cognitively with nutritious daily breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, reading readiness, and age-appropriate computer instruction and access. At the Center there are reading rooms, a library, a gym, and an outdoor play area with playground equipment. The program also offers toilet training assistance, personal hygiene training, and field trips. The EmanULearn After School Program is for school-aged children and prepares the children to maximize their educational experiences towards becoming industrious young men and women. The program offers a Computer Café, Science Club, math and reading tutors, art classes with the Art Academy, Classics for Kids with WGUC (classical radio station), Brownies, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts. According to the charity, 92% of the students who participated in the program showed improvement on their report cards, while 93% of students demonstrated improvement in social and behavioral skills. Emanuel Community Center offers baseball, football, and basketball for the students. The charity also provides resources and referrals to help clients restore their family roles and also assists families in time of critical need.
