Programs

              

According to the charity, St. Joseph Orphanage provides mental health services to 1,533 children ages 3 to 21. The children served by the charity are severely emotionally disturbed, abused, or cognitively impaired, and often have multiple issues, such as severe disturbance in thought, feelings, and behavior. The ACT Case Management Community Support Program provides mental health services to children through individualized service plans, which involve evaluations by adolescent and child psychiatrists consulting with the agency. St. Joseph Villa focuses on specialized education, mental health treatment, and residential services to children ages 6 to 15. Some of these Villa programs include the Crisis Stabilization Unit, Family Ties Therapeutic Foster Care (also offered at Dayton and Northern Kentucky locations), Personalized Education Advancement Training, Villa Connections After School Partial Hospitalization, and the Villa Day Treatment Program. The Altercrest Program offers a long-term program for young men with sexual behavior disorders. Altercrest Programs include the Behavioral Treatment Program, Community Transition Program, Day Treatment Program, Intensive Treatment Program, Outpatient Program, Special Advancement Program, and Transition to Independence Program. In 2007, the charity introduced a new program for young men that have begun to live independently, but still receive care from St. Joseph Orphanage. In 2009, the Altercrest Program added a community-based program to benefit children with pre-vocational training and work readiness needs. CARE Case Management is also provided to connect Butler County families with community resources and professional guidance.
