Programs

              

According to the charity, Big Brothers and Sisters of Warren and Clinton Counties serves approximately 140 children annually through its two programs, Community Based Program and School Based Mentoring Program. In the Community Based Program, children from single parent homes are matched one-to-one with a screened volunteer and spend approximately 2-4 hours a week together doing various activities in the community. Activities include going to the park, going fishing, Kings Island, Cincinnati Reds games, watching movies, or just hanging out. In the School Based Mentoring Program, children are referred to the charity by school officials due to emotional, social, and/or academic difficulties. The children are matched with screened volunteers that meet with them weekly during the school day. Matches meet for the duration of the school year and are invited to group programs over the summer months.
