Programs

              

United Way is focused on the building blocks of a quality life: income, education and health. Together, United Way strengthens the pillars of strong families because everyone wins when a child succeeds in school, when families have good health, workers have solid jobs and when neighborhoods become stronger. United Way also provides the opportunity for others to join their movement by GIVING, ADVOCATING and VOLUNTEERING. Today, United Way is embarking on a bold new vision for Chicagoland. LIVE UNITED 2020 is United Way of Metropolitan Chicago’s decade long vision to transform communities of greatest need throughout our region. Our goals are ambitious. But we know there is unstoppable power in the connections that result when we all work toward common goals. Within communities of greatest need, United Way is focused on the following: Income: Advancing the economic stability for 100,000 households Education: Helping 50,000 underperforming middle school kids enter high school ready to succeed Health: Connecting over 200,000 people with available, preventative health services Crisis: Across the six-county region, United Way will answer the immediate crisis needs of 1 million people, every year, by providing shelter, food and freedom from violence.
