Programs

              

South Suburban PADS offers emergency overnight shelter; interim housing; transitional housing for single adults; transitional housing for families with children; permanent and permanent supportive housing opportunities; and a full range of supportive services including case management, employment services, health care services, and homeless prevention services. South Suburban PADS annually serves more than 1,200 men, women and accompanied children with 34,000 nights of shelter, over 100,000 meals and 20,000 supportive service encounters through the efforts of 4,000 volunteers and an 18 member staff. South Suburban PADS main programs include: Emergency overnight shelter - Provides safe shelter, meals and hospitality at one of 29 locations operating on a rotating basis between October 1st and April 30th. Interim Housing Program - Year-round program combining emergency housing and supportive services on a select basis. PADS Daytime - Year-round program delivering case management, employment, education, laundry, telephone and mail services. Homeless Healthcare Network - Provides medical care utilizing volunteer medical professionals in a free-clinic setting. Homeless Prevention Program - Assists those who are at-risk of homelessness or those returning to independent housing following a period of homelessness. Transitional Housing - Two programs (Project WISH & Families First) provide single adults and families with children a pathway to independent housing. Families First Permanent Supportive Housing provides ongoing support for families with children where one adult is living with a disability. Rapid Re-Housing - Offers housing and financial assistance allowing a "literally homeless" household to re-establish a permanent residence.
