Leave No Veteran Behind does not meet the following 2 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 4: Compensated Board Members - Not more than one or 10% (whichever is greater) directly or indirectly compensated person(s) serving as voting member(s) of the board. Compensated members shall not serve as the board's chair or treasurer.

Leave No Veteran Behind does not meet this Standard because:

  • FOUR (4) member(s) out of the SEVEN (7) member board of directors (57%) is/are compensated either directly or indirectly.

Standard 17: Web Site Disclosures - Include on any charity websites that solicit contributions, the same information that is recommended for annual reports, as well as the mailing address of the charity and electronic access to its most recent IRS Form 990.

Leave No Veteran Behind does not meet this Standard because the organization's website, www.LeaveNoVeteranBehind.org, does not include all of the recommended information for those charity websites that solicit for donations. Specifically, it does not include:

  • Total income.
  • Total program expenses.
  • Total fund raising expenses.
  • Total administrative expenses.

Programs

               

Leave No Veteran Behind believes that this ethos of service is a critical and final component for a veterans successful integration into society. It is for this reason that Veterans helped through our programs are required to perform community service. Leave No Veteran Behind has partnered with multiple agencies to provide our veterans as strategic support. While the focus of their organization is providing veterans education and employment opportunities, the goal is to make sure that veterans are in a position to have a positive impact on society. Currently, Veterans helped through their programming are provided employment opportunities with at-risk youth and other structured service opportunities that allow them to leverage their training, skills, experiences, and education to make a positive impact in their communities.
