The BBB of Chicago & Northern Illinois requested but did not receive complete information on the organization’s governance and oversight, effectiveness measures, solicitation materials, donor privacy, and fundraising disclosures and is unable to verify the organization's compliance with the following 7Standards for Charity Accountability: 1, 5, 6, 7, 15, 18, and 19.
Hephzibah Children's Association meets the remaining 13 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Programs

              

Current Programs •Diagnostic Treatment Shelter – A short-term group home for children ages 3-12. The Shelter program provides a safe place for children who have been abused or neglected, who have behavioral and emotional problems that require evaluation and specialized care. •The Residence – A long-term group home for children ages 3-12. The Residence is designed for children whose emotional and behavioral difficulties require therapeutic care in a consistently stable, nurturing and supportive environment. •Family Based Services – 5 “umbrella” programs that provide support and intervention services for families struggling with various social problems. •Educational Enrichment – 3 “Academy” programs that help children reach their academic potential, through reading, the arts, and after-school tutoring. •Day Care – A nationally recognized program, our day care helps children achieve their full social, emotional, and intellectual potential.
