Programs

              

Gads Hill Center offers programs that support and empower the Latino and African American residents of Chicago’s Pilsen, Little Village, North Lawndale, Brighton Park, and other southwest side neighborhoods. Their array of services is high-quality, flexible, responsive, and culturally competent and includes: • Early childhood education and home visiting, • School age academic support and recreation, • Teen academic enrichment, mentoring, and college readiness, • Family support and parent education, and • Adult nutrition and leadership training. Participants often start as young children and continue through high school, returning to volunteer, gain employment, or bring their own children to GHC. During FY2013, GHC served over 4,000 children, youth and families. Currently, Gads Hill Center provides services in three locations: • In Pilsen at 1919 W. Cullerton Street (administration and youth programs) • In North Lawndale at 2653 W. Ogden Avenue, in the Mt. Sinai Community Institute (center-based early childhood and after school services) • In Brighton Park at 4236 South Archer Avenue (home based early childhood services)
