Case managers met with 1,960 different guests in 2011. They operate two housing-driven programs for motivated clients- the Streets-to-Home Initiative and the Interim Housing Program. In 2011, their case managers helped 120 guests transition into permanent housing. Staff is assisted by over 2,000 community volunteers. They also operate a full-time volunteer program, consisting of young adults from around the USA and the world. They give a year of service to FOA in exchange for housing, food, and a small stipend. Their mission is to provide for the basic human needs of the homeless and marginalized in a warm, open, welcoming environment.
