Chicago Commons Association does not meet this Standard because:

  • Although it has produced a written effectiveness assessment report, the report did not include recommendations for future actions.
  • Although it produced a written effectiveness assessment report, it was not submitted for approval to the board of directors.

Programs

              

The goals of Chicago Commons are to promote and foster lifelong learning through education and support of families with young children; leadership development and healthy life choices among at-risk young people; sustainable economic opportunities for under- and unemployed adults; and enhancing the quality of life for older and disabled adults, as well as providing support for their primary caretakers. We support our neighborhoods by leading or participating in community projects to identify problems and develop proactive responses. Our success is measured by our participants’ success, and our ability to help build our community’s well-being. Chicago Commons enrolls over 3,000 people annually, impacting the lives of over 7,000 through education and senior services.
