Planned Parenthood of Illinois does not meet the following Standard for Charity Accountability.

Standard 7: Board Approval of Written Report on Effectiveness - Submit to the organization's governing body, for its approval, a written report that outlines the results of the aforementioned performance and effectiveness assessment and recommendations for future actions.

Planned Parenthood of Illinois does not meet this Standard because:

  • Although it has produced a written effectiveness assessment report, the report did not include recommendations for future actions.
In addition, the BBB of Chicago & Northern Illinois requested but did not receive complete information on the organization’s governance and oversight and solicitation materials and is unable to verify the organization's compliance with the following 2Standards for Charity Accountability: 3 and 15.
Planned Parenthood of Illinois meets the remaining 17 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Programs

              

Planned Parenthood of Illinois provides reproductive health services especially for those who do not have adequate resources in settings which preserve and protect the privacy, dignity, and essential rights of the individual. PPIL also provides or cause to be provided, education which ensures an understanding of sexuality and its implications for the individual, the family and society. As well as, initiates, advocate and cause to be implemented, public and private policies which guarantee reproductive self-determination and the services and resources necessary to insure it.
