Programs

              

Since 1977, the Les Turner ALS Foundation has been Chicagoland's leader in patient services, research, and education for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and other motor neuron diseases (MND). The Les Turner ALS Foundation supports two ALS research laboratories at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine as well as multi-disciplinary out-patient care at the Les Turner/Lois Insolia ALS Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The Foundation serves nearly 600 patients annually and provides monthly support group meetings, communications and durable medical equipment banks, respite care, in-home visits by a licensed social worker and home liaison nurses and helps increase public awareness through education programs.
