Howard Brown Health Center does not meet this Standard because the organization's website, www.howardbrown.org, does not include all of the recommended information for those charity websites that solicit for donations. Specifically, it does not include:

  • Electronic access to the organization’s most recent IRS Form 990.
In addition, the BBB of Chicago & Northern Illinois requested but did not receive complete information on the organization’s solicitation materials and donor privacy and is unable to verify the organization's compliance with the following 2Standards for Charity Accountability: 15 and 18.

HBHC offers a full range of primary and preventative health care. HBHC’s services also include behavioral health services, case management, youth services, gynecological care, substance abuse counseling, and HIV/STI prevention education, and community outreach, as well as cutting-edge research and expert HIV/AIDS care. The agency serves more than 27,000 adults and youth each year through its diverse health and social service delivery system and, as a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike, HBHC provides this care regardless of one’s ability to pay.
