Mission Honduras does not meet the following Standard for Charity Accountability.

Standard 16: Annual Report - Have an annual report available to all, on request, that includes: (a) the organization's mission statement, (b) a summary of the past year's program service accomplishments, (c) a roster of the officers and members of the board of directors, (d) financial information that includes (i) total income in the past fiscal year, (ii) expenses in the same program, fund raising and administrative categories as in the financial statements, and (iii) ending net assets.

Mission Honduras does not meet this standard because:

  • The organization states it does not have an annual report covering activities conducted in the past year.

Programs

              

Mission Honduras International currently services over 340 needy children in Liberia West Africa, enabling them to obtain the opportunity of getting an education from primary through college graduation. The Mission has constructed and operates a grade school, junior high school, an orphanage / boys town and girls town, and vocational programs, as well as provides high school and university support for older students as they progress through their education. The mission also assists the surrounding village communities through special events, hosting adult literacy classes, and operating a Catholic church. Funds and support gathered in the US are used for program services in the developing countries served by the Mission. Currently 94% of funds raised are utilized for program services and approx. 6% for admin. and fund raising expenses.
