Programs

              

Founded in 1983, HODC has developed 15 affordable properties with 243 units and currently manages 168 units in Skokie, Evanston, Morton Grove, Highland Park, Northbrook and Northfield. HODC fulfills our mission by developing both rental and for-sale housing through both rehabilitation and new construction. HODC serves families, seniors, persons with disabilities, homeless individuals, and local workers. In addition, HODC operates a housing counseling program that has helped over twenty households purchase homes and serves over 100 home seekers each year. HODC is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency and a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). HODC’s outreach and education program advocates for affordable housing in the region and provides technical assistance and advice on affordable housing issues to local communities.
