Stated Purpose
The Autism Society of Illinois exists to promote the general welfare of all individuals with Autism and related disorders and their families. It serves as a statewide resource to provide information and educational support related to the Autism spectrum.
Programs
In order to fulfill their mission, the following activities are on going:Educational conferences for the benefit of parents, caregivers, educators and others; Providing educational materials to the public to provide a better understanding of Autism ;Helping parents/caregivers understand opitons in education and living arrangements in Illinois; Providing Illinois Special Education Advocacy;Establishing family support groups;Providng a toll free hot line;Sponsoring events for individuals with Autism and/or their families to attend in an environement conducive to their varying needs;Soliciting and receiving donations to provide the activities lised previously
