Programs
Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. offers a broad range of high quality services. These 12,000 individuals are of all ages, ethnicities and reside primarily in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout Chicago and surrounding areas. The Administrative office is located at 1359 W. Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL. We offer the following: 1) Child development programs provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of young children. 2) The alternative high school with certified and highly qualified teachers provides therapeutic, educational, social/recreational and vocational services in a supportive environment to students in a safe milieu. 3)Alterative living facilities are provide for persons with disabilities enabling them to improve their quality of life, acquire maximum skill development, and live independently as possible.4)Mental Health programs provide crisis intervention, intensive counseling and therapeutic assistance to youth enabling them to remain with their families. Services are provided 24/7. 5)Community rehabilitation programs provide daily production, vocational training, social habilitation and developmental training to persons with developmental disabilities.6)Specialized training programs for persons with disabilities, the underserved and/or economically disadvantaged persons for employment opportunities, including multiple federal, state and commercial janitorial contracts.7)At foster care services children are placed in a safe, nurturing environment until permanency with a family or independent living status is achieved.8)The early intervention program assists students by providing counseling and tutoring designed to enhance academic skills. The college preparation and placement program provides educational/career counseling and financial aid services for high school students.
