      On 4/26/23 Herb J**** came to my mothers home **** ***** & measured a window for replacement glass. At the time of measurements being took Herb J**** informed me there was a broken piece in the window. He went to his vehicle and returned saying he didn’t have the piece but it wouldn’t be a problem and would order it and get it installed when the new glass was installed. However He failed to put this on the paperwork . Upon the new glass being installed the gentleman doing the installation informed my mother **** ***** of the broken piece which helps hold the window up and in place. He also went to his vehicle to look for the piece and returned saying he didn’t have it but would order it ASAP and someone would contact her to install it when it came in. She was informed there wouldn’t be a charge to come back and do this and it was important that this be repaired or the window could fall. She received a phone call and a date of installation but no one showed for the installation. She has made numerous calls and has been told the part hasn’t arrived yet. On 7/10 or 7/11/23 I ****** Pickens called and was informed part wasn’t in yet but a message would be given to my representative to call me about it. I didn’t receive a call so I called again and was informed part was on order and should be in-in a day or two and they would check and see what the hold up was. On July 21 2023 I received a call from I assume Herb J**** as he said he was the president of the company giving me a name and number of a company to call to get this resolved at my expense. At this time he said they don’t do this type of repair to windows. This made no sense; since he also said he was the one that came out and did the measurements and told me it wouldn’t be an issue to do the repair. Why were we informed repair would be done numerous times and part was on order if they don’t do this type of repair. My elderly mother has been verbally deceived by this company on numerous occasions.

      I recently had an outdoor door install that involved working with a roofer in tandem with this window and door business. I was referred to this business by my roofer who knows the owner of the business personally. The process prior to the install went along smoothly with the owner of the business helping us to select the proper door and price to meet our needs. On the day of the install the workers came out as scheduled at 9:00 am working in tandem with the roofer. They removed our old door and were to come back several hours later to install the new door after the roofer would be finished. They went to work on other jobs, got delayed and did not return to our home until 5:30 pm. They did not leave our home until 8:00 pm. We had to be home for 11 hours since we did not know when they would return. We had plans for the evening as it was my husband's 70th birthday. By the time the workmen left, we were too tired and distraught to follow through with our plans. I asked the owner if he would give us a slight discount for our inconvenience and he declined saying he had no control over the workmen and their schedules that day. I am very disappointed and doubt that I will use this company again nor will I recommend this company to others

      Mrs. *******- In advance we want to thank you for your business. We would like to state for the record that when we scheduled this job for you it was mentioned that the date that both United Window and the roofing company could be there was Tuesday, June 15th. You mentioned to me that that was your husbands birthday and I gave you an alternate date in July that the job could be scheduled. You even called me back and agreed to the June 15th date. From the beginning you did know that our installation crew needed to take out the old door and build a threshold so that the roofing company could come and do the roofing portion of the job. At the time the roofer showed up he said it could be between 3 1/2 -4 hours before his work could be completed. Our installation crew did take a little longer on the other job that was scheduled between your job. Yes our installation crew did get there at 5:30 and yes they did complete your job to your satisfaction and yes they did stay until 8:30 at night to complete that job to your satisfaction. We are very disappointed that you do not see the value in the work that was performed. We did not have prior knowledge of how long the roofers would be there and do believe that scope of the work was not within our control. Again, thank you for your business and good luck with future endeavors.
