    In 2016 I contracted with Ridenour's to provide propane gas stored in a tank on my property. I prepaid for the gas with each refill. I sold my house on 7/11/23. When the house was under contract on 6/30, I called to inform them of the pending sale. I asked the tank be locked and requested a refund for the gas remaining. The representative stated this was too complicated and told me to sell the gas directly to the new owner. Based on the 355 gallons of gas remaining at that time and the price I paid, the representative told me to charge the new owner $989.53. The new owner declined the offer. I called again and informed them of this. I again requested the tank be locked and requested a refund. The representative stated there would be a delay because their driver was busy and she didn’t know when he would come-I would just have to wait. After a month of waiting and no refund, I called again and I spoke to "******" who said I would have to continue waiting. On 8/30 my closing agent phoned them to inquire about my refund and received no information as to when my monies would be refunded. On 9/6, a friend phoned on my behalf. The response was the same. On 9/7 my agent called again and received the same response. On 9/11 my agent, along with her husband, went to the office. Two different drivers stated the tank had been locked 4 or more weeks prior and was removed on 9/8. ***** stated they did not know how much gas was left in the tank because sometimes people lie about it, so they did not know how much my refund should be. During these phone calls and in-person visit, we were repeatedly told that my refund check was ready and just needed to be signed by “*******.” We have repeatedly asked to speak with ******* and have been told that he is not available. I consider this a deliberate attempt to withhold my refund. My propane has now been removed by Ridenour's. This is outright theft. It has been two months since my house was sold and I am still owed $989.53.
