On March 6th I called in about a 2017 Honda Civic Sport . Talked to a gentleman named Dakota . While on the phone my first question was , can I use my credit union as a financing option? Cause I have a pre approval for the vehicle, Was told I could , but urged me to fill out an app because they use 65 banks he said,and I could possibly get better rates . I went ahead and filled out the application. He asked me for all my trade in information, so I sent that along with pictures of my trade in . Didn’t hear from him again for the day. Figured just busy . Next day comes . Thursday. Figured I hear back from him first thing in morning since I sent all information in and talked on n off with him the day prior . I end up sending a text asking if he heard anything . Got no response. I called in and said I could not get ahold of the him and would like a different salesman . Encouraged me to not give up on him and said they would have him call me in the next 10 or 15 minutes and he did do that. He let me know that I would need a cosigner and money down which didn’t make any sense to me because I had a preapproval through my credit union which didn’t require any of that. Kept asking for the terms he got on his end . Kept being ignored with that question. I told him well ,okay I can do a cosigner then but depending on rates offered I’ll use my bank . He told me to hold tight for a few that it was sitting on his managers desk, and I never heard from him again that day. So after texting him again asking for some answers as it should only take 1 day to purchase a car not 3 . He ignores me again. I call in again on Friday asking what was going on AGAIN! Asking for what my terms and rates are so I can compare . Never got a call back . Call again on Saturday since the text I sent again on Saturday I was ignored also . On Saturday I asked to talk to sales manager. He didn’t have one care in the world of my issues . Said it sold . How is it legal to sell a car from underneath someone who was in the middle of purchasing? I was ignored and called everyday on top of texting . They sold the car . The manager was just like , oh that sucks . We have more civics on the lot . I wanted that Honda . Been looking for months for that type of Honda . If this is how they treat military widows when my husband died to protect this company to be shady . Wanted to reach out to you guys before I hire a attorney on this matter . This is morally and ethically unacceptable for this company to do me that way for no reason . I feel it’s because I had a approval and no money down and the way he pressured me on the phone for money down was not right either . My hours are cut at work as I’m having a cancer scare so I have lots of time to take this as far as I can go . Will provide all texts and my approval with time stamped on that Thursday once I talk to someone about this matter . Not providing my proof in case I take this to court .
