    I took my vehicle in to be serviced on 5/25/2023 to Westboro Toyota for covered maintenance and also due to the back hatch interior button not working. I was told the service would be covered at the vehicle was still under warranty. I was told after diagnosis this would not be covered as it was due to corrosion and the harness would run over $800 to replace. I refused to have this done as I truly believed this should be a covered service on a vehicle that is not even 2 years old, purchased the most expensive trim level, had been kept in a garage, and simply stopped working. The service advisor still charged me one half hour to diagnose the issue even though I did not authorize this charge as I was told this would be under warranty. However, I did pay the fee so I could pick up my vehicle. I needed to have this repaired and knowing Toyota was going to charge me over $800 to repair this issue on my ****** with less than 19,000 miles I decided to check out the issue myself as I have been a master mechanic and have an electrical engineering degree. After examining the issue, it was not due to corrosion of the harness at all, rather due to a faulty switch. I went back to the dealer, explained the situation, just wanting a new switch and told them I would do the labor myself if they paid for the part. They told me they could not do that, I would have to have it re-diagnosed by service, however, would have to pay service again for the diagnosis. I told them I already paid for the diagnosis which was wrong. The harness corrosion was not the issue at all, instead it was due to a faulty switch. They would not pay for the part. So, I also paid for the switch, installed it, and fixed the issue myself. I spoke with Toyota ***************** however, they would not reimburse. I am asking for repayment of $209.34 I paid them plus my own time I had to spend to correctly diagnose and repay my vehicle which is one hour at Toyota rate of $165. Total = $209.34 + $165= $374.34.

    Ive bought a lot of vehicles in my life, never have I experienced anything like what Westboro Toyota did to me. So the biggest complaint was their forging of my signature on a car warrantee. I thought I was buying a Toyota Care policy, a off market policy was purchased by Westboro Toyota and my signature was forged on these doc,s. When I presented the vehicle to a different Toyota dealership, I was told a Toyota Care policy was not linked to this vehicle. Westboro Toyota admitted to the fraud by refunding the $2200+ I had paid for the policy. I wanted a Toyota Care Policy they refused and refunded moneys instead. The problem is the issue I was bringing the vehicle into Toyota to look at turned out to be Major. Toyota Care would have replaced the vehicle frame. The estimate for the work was !!,000.00 I emailed Alex S at Westboro Toyota several times to no avail. This behavoir is just a continuation of the Reviews you can see online. Someone at this dealership needs to be ********** ******* **** ***** *** ******
