In this spirit, we’re pleased to conduct our annual awards program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to ethical business practices. Each year, companies of different sizes are selected through a regional competition to receive the Better Business Bureaus’ Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Winners at the regional level are then sent to the Council of Better Business Bureau's International Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics competition.
The Torch Award is designed to promote not only the importance of ethical business practices, but the willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honorable. Each winner and finalist of a BBB Torch Award has a unique opportunity to receive public recognition for their excellence in ethical business practices.
Business Owners: Any for-profit business in the Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas and Permian Basin areas may enter themselves for a 2013 BBB Torch Award. Additionally, business owners may choose to nominate another business other than their own.
