AUSTIN, Texas – April 04, 2014 Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas and the Permian Basin was recently selected as one of the Best Nonprofits to Work for 2014 by The NonProfit Times (NPT), a national publication covering the business management of nonprofit organizations throughout the United States.
“We are very excited to receive this honor for the fourth year in a row,” said Carrie A. Hurt, President/CEO for BBB serving Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas and the Permian Basin. “We pride ourselves on not only carrying out our mission to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust, but also making sure our employees have a great work environment so they can give the best services to the communities we serve.”
This nationwide employee awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the nonprofit industry, benefiting the industry's economy, its workforce and businesses. TheNPT’s Best Nonprofits to Work For 2014 list is made up of 50 organizations.
Organizations from across the nation entered the two-part process to determine the NPT’s Best Nonprofits to Work for 2014. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated organization's workplace policies, practices and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top organizations and the final ranking.
