Anne Ferro, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) administrator, headquartered in Washington, D.C., will help kick off National Moving Month with Better Business Bureau (BBB®), Southwest Movers Association (SMA) and Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) to help teach consumers how to hire a moving company and avoid moving scams as well as educating Texans about resources available to them, and penalties for rogue operators.

May marks the beginning of the busiest moving season for Texans, which is also when unscrupulous operators are most likely to take advantage of consumers.
