Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas and the Permian Basin has narrowed down the Laws of Life essay contest entries to 12 finalists. The purpose of the Laws of Life essay contest is to allow students to share the values that they believe will guide them throughout their lives. Local sixth through eighth-grade students are encouraged to write from the heart and express the core values, or laws of life, by which they live. The essay contest rules do not restrict the content. Students are encouraged to write from the heart.
Participating schools encouraged students to write a contest essay, and winners from those schools were submitted to the BBB Education Foundation for judging in the regional contest. Laws of Life essays are judged by a panel of professionals from the business and academic communities. All of the young essayists are honored at an award ceremony in front of their parents, teachers, school administrators and members of the community.
