Beware of those hidden fees and no integrity!Hero Moving did our local move and the movers did a nice job. They were polite, efficient and professional. The owner, the complete opposite. We were charged a $100 trip charge since they had to come to Georgetown from *******. When I questioned **** (owner), she states they charge everyone that and it was on the estimate. I provided her with a copy of the estimate *** gave us and it was nowhere listed. She said we were charged that on our last move too. I provided her copies of the previous estimate as well as the receipt for that move showing it wasnt on there. In addition, I asked other customers I had sent their way, and they were not charged this fee. She said she would refund the charge back to us but, of course, nothing has happened. I have reached out to her multiple times via email, *****, and left her multiple phone messages. It is very unfortunate, she has no intention of keeping her word. As a nurse and a wife of a veteran, we chose Hero Moving as they advertise themselves as such. Such a disappointment.
