Additional Notes

Complaint: The company provided service on 07/06/2013, they were suppose to do a warranty work and service and submit the paperwork into ******* for a reimbursment back to me for the job. The cost of the job was $1350 and I have yet to receive the reimbusement for that amount, for this job.

Desired Settlement: I would simply like a cash refund back to me for the amount of $1350

Business Response: Re: ID *******

*** ******** ** *****

Mr. ******* called our office on Friday July 5, 2013 for service on his A/C unit that was not cooling.  We responded to the call the same day and found that the compressor was out and needed to be replaced.  We told Mr. ******* that the cost to replace the coil under warranty would be $1,500 for the labor and it would include reclaiming refrigerant, welding supplies, liquid line drier, evacuation of the system, and recharging of the system with new refrigerant.  The compressor itself would be provided by ******* at no charge, since it was covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.  Mr. ******* stated that he had
a ten year parts and labor warranty on his system.  Since Aramendia was not the original company that installed the system, we informed Mr. ******* that he would need to contact the original company that completed the install to have that full 10 year parts and labor warranty honored.  Mr. ******* did not want to use the original A/C company to replace the compressor, and asked Aramendia to replace the compressor for $1,500 – 10% ******* **** discount, for a grand total of $1,350.00.  The compressor was replaced on Sunday, July 6, 2013, and the $1,350 was collected upon completion.

We contacted ******* and initially were told that Aramendia was not set up to process any labor warranties with their company.  They later changed their mind, and set us up. We submitted the warranty paperwork to the ******* distributor on Mr. ********* behalf. ******* sent Aramendia a reimbursement check for $475.00.  We deposited the check and cut Mr. ******* a check in the same amount in his name so that he could deposit it.  At that point, I contacted Mr. ******* and he came and picked up the check from our office and has since cashed it.

Again, Aramendia Plumbing, Heating & Air never promised Mr. ******* a full reimbursement from ******* for the labor and parts used to replace the compressor.  We did, however, inform him that if he wanted to replace the compressor under a full parts and labor warranty, he would have to contact the A/C Company that originally sold and installed the air conditioning system in his home.

Respectfully Submitted,

Consumer Response: Complaint: *******

I am rejecting this response because: at the time prior and during service, I did mentioned to Aramendia that I do have warranty that should cover the services performed and was told on the phone and in writing (as you'll see in the highlighted screenshot image that comes from the invoice given - that says Aramendia would be handling the reimbusement for me, but that they needed to collect the money that day upfront. As of today I have yet to receive the full reimbursement from Aramendia and/or *******. After the service I tried to comply with everyone involved and kept getting bounced around from Aramendia, to *******, etc. etc. Then shortly after the service I called Aramendia to come out check the system again to see why it wasn't cooliing very well, and they charged me again to look at the work they recently just had done, another $89.00 -

****** *******

Business Response: Mr. ******* knew from the beginning that we would forward any money received from ******* for the labor warranty that we received. If he had gone back with the original company that installed the equipment, they would have done the warranty for him at no charge to him. He chose not to do that and go with our company. Please see the attached statement.

Consumer Response: Complaint: *******

I am rejecting this response because:

As provided previously the issue at hand at this time is the July 2013 service call. When I did call Aramendia I had mentioned at that time that I did have an extended warranty with ******* for parts and labor. It was first mentioned on the phone and time of service that I would have to pay upfront then would be reimbursed. As of today, I've tried to work with Aramendia and also tried to contact ******* again, and bottom line is that we have yet to receive the full reimbursement amount.
