***************************** was hired to do a "make ready" for one of our units. He advertised "turn key, move in readiness" & emphasized his word was his honor.1) It was already a rough start. On one of the nights, *********** contactors left the water from the hallway toilet dripping all over the floor & throughout the whole apartment. Their power tools were on the floor still plugged in. It left a potential fire hazard & put our tenants at risk!! My wife had to makeshift a contraption to divert the water back to the drain pipe of the *********** moved their tools to a safer location. This was not a good first impression, especially since he was charging $4500!! And it was Father's day!!2) Then, ***** hired another contractor to install new bathtub fixtures. ***** left the contractor unmonitored, so the contractor cut out the whole fiberglass wall from both tubs, placed the new ******************** then, riveted the fiberglass cutouts back onto the tubs!! ***** tried to make light of the situation & made us feel like it was too much trouble to ask for the fixtures to be placed in correct alignment to begin with! No stand up business would accept that kind of shoddy work!! You don't need training for that one! It would cost $900 at ****** (w/ tax) to replace each tub, not including the labor for installation! Now who's costing who more money? Of course, ***** didn't even offer to replace the bathtubs in order to make this right, especially since it was not our mistake. (Red flag...small business-minded right there!) He didn't want to eat the cost, yet it was clear to see that it wasn't OUR fault! 3) On another occasion, ***** left the back yard faucet on almost all night 'til it flooded the ground up to the living room porch while he left the main water shut off valve uncorrected at the front of the building. Our tenants were the ones that called us to let us know that ***** had left it on. He didn't have the correct parts to fix the water leak problem & showed no discretion as to who would be responsible for the unnecessary & careless waste of water on his part. Very unprofessional!! (Again, small-business minded). He lacked the integrity to offer any discounts off his repair cost nor did he offer any small monetary contribution towards the high water ****.Despite the many mistakes that were happening, none of them were our fault. He was supposed to be the "experienced" handyman. We feel ***************************** took advantage of our kindness, understanding, & patience, even when he was going through his personal challenges in life. We did not allow our personal challenges to keep us from paying him. We supported his efforts & understood his difficult situation. ***** is in the business of serving & helping other people. It took him more than 3 months to make ready a 2br/2ba apt. He couldn't do it. He abandoned the job & breached the contract. He left the apartment in such a manner that one would be disappointed & embarrassed to have on their resume or review, such as the BBB. Because of this, we believe ********************* honesty, integrity, accountability, & the character to make this right. We believe he's too ashamed to correct his wrongdoing, that's why he hasn't tried to contact us since he quit the job. Therefore, it would go against our conscience to recommend him or his RnR business to anyone, for this was truly a negative experience that no one should have to go through. In the end, ***** did not honor his word. We do have the photos to offer as evidence.
