Friday March 1, 2013, this company advised your BBB that they were contacted by
consumers in California and Texas who were victims of a time share resale scam
orchestrated by a company representing themselves as Kusch Financial
The company explained that the consumers reported being contacted by representatives, “Steven Winters” and “Lee Thomas”, who identified themselves as associates of Kusch Financial Group Inc. and stated they were offering timeshare resale services. The representatives instructed one consumer to wire them $1800.00 upfront for their services, and, once they had received the initial funds, requested additional funds so they could pay the property taxes on the consumer’s time share.
Kusch Financial Group Inc.’s (http://www.bbb.org/central-texas/business-reviews/financial-planning-consultants/kusch-financial-group-inc-in-san-antonio-tx-21146) has verified that they do not offer or possess the proper professional licensing needed to offer time share resale services.
They advise consumers not to do business with any organization claiming to be associated with Kusch Financial Group Inc. and offering time share resale services. Consumers who are contacted by companies perpetrating such scams should immediately report the information to the BBB serving Central, Coastal, Southwest Texas & Permian Basin at (512)445-2911 or firstname.lastname@example.org or the BBB which services their area. Consumers should also report companies committing such fraudulent practices to the consumer protection agency in their state, which can be located using the online directory at http://www.usa.gov/directory/stateconsumer/index.shtml.
