Read Complaint Details
Complaint: First Basin Credit Union is reporting adverse and incorrect information on my credit report. They are continuously updating a paid off account as a charge off. First Basin Credit Union is reporting late payments on a charged off account and also updating it as a new charge off even after the debt was paid in full. I have written letters to ask that this be fixed but no one has answered me back nor have they corrected the incorrect information. I have documents that prove this fact. I have credit reports from different months showing the information was changed to be as derogatory as possible to my credit scores. They reported the charged off account as paid late when I did pay it in full and reported it as a charge off again. It was reported as a charge off in March 2015 and then that was removed and put as July 2015 as a charge off. So they are renewing the charge off status even after it was paid in full months before. This action has cost me financially. My scores are lowered each time from this action. This account was charged off September 2009 and is still being reported as a new charge off. I have a credit card account with them that shows on my report as being at 100% utilization when it isn't. I had a mortgage pull done today and I was questioned about these accounts and why they show this way. It's simply an unprofessional practice and needs to be corrected.
Desired Settlement: I want this account removed from my credit report for the malicious way they have treated me and the financial costs incurred along with the mental anguish. I will pay off the credit card and close my accounts so that neither of us have to be bothered by the other anymore.
Business Response: The status reporting to the credit bureau on the account is correct and it is NOT reporting as a new charged off loan. We have contacted the member regarding his account and have the documentation supporting this but if he needs further explanation, we would be more than willing to go over everything with him again.
