Price Gouging for ****************** Estimate My family would like to submit a formal price gouging complaint against RNC Construction, LLC.. We signed a contract for services with RNC Construction, electrical estimate $1,480.00 (contract dated February 8, 2022). Other work was to be completed, adding a wall to our outside deck on residential property.We were informed that the *************** Building Inspector required that two additional electrical outlets were required. We submitted an email request for estimated cost to add outlets, due to changes in the scope of work and specifications. We were informed by the work site ****** that he did not have time to update the estimate.This week, we received a final **** for electrical installation of $3,421.16.At no time did we sign or give verbal approval for increase of electrical cost. In addition, to specifications of February contact were altered this week. RNC Construction adjusted the paperwork, using previous approved estimate contract to include a list of materials and labor cost. The material cost included price gouging; a small sample included as attachment. Labor cost include electrical work for two days @ 16 hours for $90.00 per hour; electrician was only at site for two half days @ 8 hours max.We need your assistance to resolve or mediate this formal complaint. RNC Construction has given us 30 days to make payment of full amount $3,421.16. The company (allegedly) falsified multiple invoices to add high-cost results with both parities giving approval to change scope of work or having anything in writing.
