Also, I want this email to serve as notice I reserve the right as a consumer to pursue further legal action if necessary for breach of this contract on the part of your company Texas Rhino Shield, New Life Coating LLC. I will follow this with a certified letter. Immediately on the first day your painter showed up to my job my red flag radar went off, I expected a well trained crew that knew what they were doing to prepare this house for a good paint job. You sent a one man person with a $4.00 hand held paint scraper to scrap and prepare **** sq ft of surface space all wood siding on an older home along with an 8 ft ladder. I have 6 elevated gables he never touched. The extension ladder came on the last day of painting to paint trim. During what little time he spent supposedly scraping he was on the phone in his truck most of the time spent on his cell phone. I asked him point blank how he was going to scrap this house properly he blew me off. When he did show up he came to job 11am or after and did not do a lot left by 3pm. We were very concerned about the lack of detail attention on the surface. On September 15, I requested a meeting at my home with your sales rep ************************* regarding the lack of progress, shoddy work, and we voiced our opinion we were paying a lot of money for this paint job $12,241.00, I expect it to look superb. We were met with excuses for the failures again our complaints ignored. Once the final product was put on the house you could really begin to see the shoddy workmanship. Paint sprayed over loose old paint, painted over a rotted board on the front facia above the porch, splitting, bubbling, open holes that were not sealed, and my paint job was just a few days old. Old wood was not prepared per Texas Rhino Shields 12 step install PROCEDURE. They painted on my new roof that I just paid $8000 for, over sprayed paint on my back porch. After obtaining a copy of 12 Step installation PROCEDURE from Rhino Shield it states clearly in the install procedure under step 5 to remove debris, irregular texture, peeling paint. It also states under step 5 instructions for older homes with wood siding like mine that sanding, scraping and in many cases a paint ****** to be used going above what regular painters do. In the contract I signed with you it specifically states sanding also included. None of these install procedures were followed. After talking with you trying to resolve the problem all I am met with is arguing, making excuses, trying to treat like I am stupid dont know what I am talking about. After I sent you a video of the shoddy work you then want to try to make it right. Your sales rep ran a high pressure campaign on me through text to get me to pay the balance $7241.12. Oh no. I am not bleeding any more money on this rip off scheme. After reviewing all the complaints on yelp and BBB where you have an F rating it is in my best interest not to do anymore business with you Reason for your F rating is: failure to respond to filed complaints, unresolved complaints, number of complaints filed on the business. The common theme in all these complaints echo what my complaints are with your company. This is a rip off scheme sell someone a paint job, do poor work, collect outrageous money leave customers with shoddy workmanship and a so called written warranty not worth the paper it is written on. After reviewing all this information it is my best interest not to do further business with your company. I had another paint contractor look at this house he shook his head stated I got ripped off and it will cost me money to have someone else paint it properly. I want this contract voided and a return of my $5000..00 deposit I have paid you already.
