April 5, 2022, went to pick up car left for oil change, bulb replacement on headlights (running light), look to see if an oil leak as had noticed a small amount of oil on garage floor. Been a customer about 10 years -- 3 cars -- always satisfied. Amount quoted on Thursday last week was a lot and indicated major issues with oil leak and had to replace lots of rubber hosing -- but trusted these guys so said, OK. When picked up car on Tuesday, saw more than $2,000 on invoice of "declined services" and when asked what this meant was told that the person who estimated the costs (who had been with ********* as long as I had gone there) had discussed these with me and I said, no. Not the case as such services had not been mentioned. New person I had met week before when dropped car off now turned out to be "manager", blamed the intake person and when I asked to speak to him, was told he was no longer there and had left the day before (not sure if she meant Friday or Monday). Finally, I asked, why isn't he here, and she revealed that the service center had been sold, Had the new owner's representatives revealed to me when I brought the car in that there was a sale and the mechanic who had worked on my cars for years was gone, I would not have left the car there; also, even if I had left the car, had the new manager revealed the more than $2,000 in "declined services", I would not have had any work done on the car and would have picked it up. I have located the former ********* crew, including mechanic, and will have the car checked out by them. Be aware that this ********* is not the original one with so many years of excellent service. Guy in back to whom I was not speaking when I asked why didn't you tell me that this was a new owner said, because it's confidential.
