Hill Country Customs Response

Thank you for taking the time to review. Sorry for taking so much time to respond. I reached out to our mobile dispatcher, as we do not have an actual office with a desk person. I also reached out to our guys that release vehicles. No one has recollection of dealing with you. Our towing company does in fact get confused/mixed up with other wrecker companies. We are Hill Country Customs Towing located in *************, **. There is a Hill Country Towing based in ************. There is also a Hill Country Autoplex in *************.
If you know for a fact it was our company then we would greatly appreciate more information. You can call the main office and ask for ******.

I apologize. It was our company to whom you are speaking of. I questioned the dispatcher and VSF employee saying the "female vehicle owner", but the owner, and the one whom the belonging belonged to was a male. So it took some time for them to put the pieces together.
We spoke with our mobile dispatcher; she recalls the conversation going quite differently. She informed you that the letter was a notification with charges on it. Due to the fact you are not the registered owner, we couldnt release full information. Our dispatcher gave as much information as she could and SHE was called a smart a**. The owner of the vehicle should have received the full information with charges. We are required by law to mail these out to the TxDMV registered owners. I apologize you were not approved to receive this information. It is the owners responsibility to keep all TxDMV information up to date with any address changes. They have forms available online if youd like to update the address or be added as an owner.
As far as the truck being a mess and stuff opened; the truck was involved in a rollover. This means items in the vehicle could get airborne or move from their original location. I have photos on location of all the windows busted open and items scattered all over the embankment. The roof was crushed in and airbags blown.
Once our driver arrived at our storage lot, he does a quick survey of the damage and has to verify the inventory sheet we get from the law enforcement officer. He noticed there was a firearm that was not on the log. Due to the rain and no windows, he decided it would be best to keep the firearm in our safe. He took a photo and logged that it was in the safe. Our employee that releases cars didnt see the note in our system due to it not being written on the inventory sheet. We are glad the gentleman that got belongings out, brought it to his attention. Once our employee realized the firearm belonged to him, he was happy to get it for him. The owner of the vehicle was said to be very happy and relieved that we kept it safe and dry. We are not in the firearm business and would never steal. We have surveillance at our locations for this reason. I assure you there was no ill intent, only good intentions. We take pride in keeping our customers happy and their belongings safe. We are a family owned and operated business and fully trust our employees. Again, Im sorry this experience wasnt what you expected.
