Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: multiple problems: #1- never completed the paperwork with the City of ******, so we were are not able to receive the rebate he promised #2- switch the brand name of the product that he told us he had to have our check for 1/2 down that day because it was the last day of the sale #3- never did a J calculation to size our system, so now we are stuck with a system that is oversized and our house is too hot or too cold #4- promised to "make it right" and disappeared off the face of the earth
Desired Settlement: ***** needs to complete the paperwork with the City of ****** so that we can get the $450 REBATE that he promised at the time of sale. Work with us in getting the proper size of a/c units because we have to live with these units for 10+ years.
Business Response: Dear BBB, This has been a problem after many extra trips, to do their own check list, to try and appease, I had to hire an attorney to help try and resolve, Im sorry for the way she feels about me,but I know that she hired another local AC company to check my work and they told her that it was what they would have done and a good job. I`m a small AC company I do things with all my pride and my life work is air conditioning & heating I promise I went way beyond to make customer happy to the point of losing more money on 1 job then ever before, putting in higher rated equipment and going way beyond. I last heard from the customer when she paid $7600.00 of a $9000.00 contract, plus I spent over twice the time and material on this job, the rebate has certain requirements, that could not be met mostly because of on going threat of legal action.I have an Aplus rating I`ve worked very hard for many many years to have, I truly wanted to make it very good for my customer as I have for all my customers for many years. Everything I did with over 30 years of experience, I did to the best of my integrity, I`m truly sorry to not have made this customer a long business relationship for the future. Thank you for the oppporturnity to explain. ***** *****
Business Response: I am sorry for how customer feels, but as I stated I consulted my attorney on this matter when it became a problem. We came to an agreement for her husband to finish job, I was paid after they took cost for their own check list, I took the loss and moved on,as far as rebate, I can`t do rebate since job was agreed to be finish by owner. I have done this work for over 30 years, I rely on that to help me make the best installs possible, as far as a manual J, not required, but my 30 years experience goes into all my work because this is my life.I have an Aplus rating which I have worked very hard for, please get back with me for any questions.
