I just moved to Nac and bought a home that has a septic pump grinder that the prior owner had not bothered to fix before selling the home and sewage was seeping into the yard and street. Since this company had previously serviced the grinder, I called them to come back out to fix it. They took 3 weeks after my first call to finally send someone out at which time they told me the entire pump needed to be replaced and the cost would be $7,200. I was unfamiliar with this type of sewage system and since they had previously serviced the equipment I believed that was an accurate price. When they came to install the part, the technician had difficulty getting it to work properly and told me I needed another switch for the "box" that would cost an additional $1,000+. Final cost was $8,200. Almost immediately thereafter I started hearing a noise that I couldn't explain but finally noticed it only occurred after running water or flushing a toilet. By this time I had heard from neighbors that I should call a different company that actually had the word "septic" in the name. They came out to check it and informed me that the prior technician had apparently removed a float that was needed to keep from making the noise and that I had been overcharged by about double what an entire new system would cost through them. Long story short, I am now having to spend an addition $750 to install the correct float system, have it rewired and install a new box because wires had been eliminated when the float was removed. They may be good for A/C (although I called someone else for that) and/or general plumbing, but make sure you get multiple bids before you give them the work or else they will overcharge you.
