I use Sparefoot for the advertising of storage units. Sparefoot charges 2 months rent for each booking they give me. When I signed up, I was told I would not have to pay for short term renters (renters that would stay less than two months) because "That wouldn't make sense and they want this to be a Win-Win" Situation. When I started receiving short term renters from Sparefoot, I called again to confirm that I would not be charged for accepting tenants staying less than 2 months. The Sparefoot employee confirmed that I had the correct information and that I could go ahead and book them. Now they are saying it is policy to charge for any rentals they send to me regardless of short-term or not. Even after confirming that their employee had given me false information Sparefoot refused to retract any of the charges. But Im still reeling Im just going to clarify this one more time, bc I feel like this is so wrong of Sparefoot even having a confession from an employee, stating he gave me misinformation about short term bookings, you all will do nothing to help accommodate us? There is no one else we could escalate this case to? Again, I would NEVER have booked those short term rentals had I not been told I wouldnt be charged for short term renters. Is there seriously NOTHING else I can do?
