Complaint: I am not satisfied with my recent Mangold Roofing roof job. It is not the quality job I received from Mangold in the 1990's. I am holding the final insurance check and will gladly submit it to Mangold Roofing when I am totally satisfied. I have met with the owner of the business, Mr. ***** ******* and with the sub-contractor hired by Mangold to do the job, ***** *****. Neither man has conveyed to me in person that they are interested in resolving the matter correctly.I have received a certified letter (formal notice) that Mangold may put a lien on my home. I have also received an email that Mangold may take this to a legal level. I feel threatened and do not appreciate it.
Desired Settlement: There has been an inspection on my roof that has failed. I am working with and referencing others to have more possible deficiencies (I suspect) found and proven. I suspect my roof replacement by Mangold might have to be redone (settlement). **** **********
Business Response: Mangold Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc entered into a contract with Mrs ********** on November 13, 2013 to re roof a wood shingle roof on her home in ************ This would be the third time Mangold Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc had installed a wood shingle roof on her home. The roofing project was completed and inspected by Mr. ***** ******* and his superintendent on November 15, 2013. When the final bill was presented to Mrs. ********* she refused to pay and when questioned why she wouldn't honor the contract which she had entered in to she would only say that "she wasn't at peace with the roofing job". Mr. ***** ******* has requested a copy of the inspection report and to date has not received anything. Therefore, Mangold Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc had no recourse except to seek a legal remedy as provided by law.
Business Response: After all this time you still have not stated clearly stated what exactly is wrong with the roof. Please send a list of your concerns so we can get this matter resolved.
