Complaint: In July of this year I was working with Nations Reliable Lending to complete a refinance of my home. On July 22nd I received a set of disclosures for the refinance and noticed that a $718.00 charge was included for Winstorm Insurance. I informed the loan office ******* ***** by e-mail that this had been paid by our then mortgage company ***** on 6/11/13 and should not have been included in the charges. She informed me that she would let the loan processor know to make the necessary correction. On July 23rd, when Ms. ***** e-mailed me about another matter, she also informed me that the processor was not able to make the change on the documents for the windstorm premium of $718.00 to be removed, but stated it would be refunded to me to me two weeks after closing. I waiting a few weeks after closing to see if the refund would be mailed and received nothing. I made multiple calls to both ******* ***** and the branch manager ******* ****** as well as sending them countless emails requesting they contact me to resolve the issue of refunding the windstorm premium that should not have been included in the refinance. but to this day have not heard from either of them.
Desired Settlement: I would like for Nations Reliable Lending to send me the refund of the windstorm premium they knowingly included in closing documents in the amount of $718.00.
BBB's Final Determination: Business failed to respond to the BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues.
